Clip a digital coupon
Where to find a coupon in your Smith's app, how to clip it, and the rules that trip people up.
A digital coupon lives on your Smith's account, not on paper. You find it in the Smith's app and tap Clip. When the item is in your order, the money comes off by itself.
Chedda does not clip for you
Smith's has no way for Chedda to clip a coupon, so you do that part. Your list names each coupon and where to find it, and you tap Clip in your Smith's app. Then tick "I clipped it" on your list, so you know it's done.
Three taps
- Sign in to the Smith's app with the account your Shopper's Card is on. A coupon only counts on the account that clipped it.
- Open Savings, then Digital Coupons. Search for the coupon your list names, and tap Clip. The button changes to show it is clipped.
- Place your order. Clipped coupons come off the items they cover. Clip before you check out: a coupon you clip after that does not come off the order.
Good to know
- One coupon per item. A digital coupon counts as a manufacturer coupon, so a paper one can't go on the same item.
- Read the limit. Most digital coupons work once. Weekly Digital Deals can work up to five times in one order.
- Match the size and the kind. A coupon for the 12 oz box does nothing for the 18 oz box. Tap Shop All Items on the coupon to see exactly what it covers.
- Watch the date. The coupon has to still be good on the day your order is filled.
- In the store, too. Scan your Shopper's Card or type your phone number at the register, and your clipped coupons come off there.
The usual miss
The coupon you meant to clip and didn't. Before you check out, open your clipped coupons and read them against your cart.
